Every Christmas people take a off from their busy schedule. This is the time they can enjoy with their family and friends. But how can you make the Christmas holiday unforgettable? You may hold a party, stay with your family, play games and exchange presents; or for most Christians, it is a time to worship God and go to church.

Whatever you do, it is certain that you want to keep this happy memory forever and share the joys with your family and friends. Many of us take photos, keeping details of every happy moment. A Photo Flash Slideshow as I introduced today may give you more enjoyable experience of photo keeping and sharing.

You can also make a slideshow as a Christmas gift for your family and friend, showing the happy moment you spend together

What should you prepare?

The first thing you need is slideshow software. A good slideshow software is easy to use and gets rich templates. A good choice is Photo Flash Maker – up to 8000 downloads, #9 in web design catalog at download.com. I assume some of you have already known it. Photo DVD Maker is also the one I heard that is pretty nice. And if you want to burn your slideshow to DVD, Photo DVD Maker is a better choice. Other like Proshow, Polaroid My Memories Suite Polaroid Corporation etc. is good as well – it is able to insert video but cost much money.

Second, Christmas photos. Take Christmas photos to record every amusing moment of Christmas and make them organized – by event or friends group – whatever you can reach your audience.

Third, once you pick the pictures, you should think about the music complemented your photo slideshow. The best music you choose should express your feeling toward the pictures or can fully tell what is in your photos.

Step-by-Step instruction

With all these things consider, we are now ready for making a Christmas photo slideshow. Now I will take Photo Flash Maker for example, give you the step by step instruction.

First, go to www.photo-flash-mak­er.com and download Photo Flash Maker

Second, add and edit pictures

Click “Add” button and add the picture you want. Drag and drop them to rearrange the slide order in the lower window. Upon the “edit” button, you can:
1. Edit the picture info, including title, hyperlinks, picture description, and transition effect and rotate the pictures.
2. Add texts to the picture. You could select different letterform, the size of the letter and the other common setting.
3. Add some carton pictures to make your photo more interesting.

Third, Apply transition

Click “Transition Effect” and begin to set transition effect between photos (This step is not necessary if you want random transition effect). You can drag and draw your desired transition effect to replace transition effect between two pictures. From the preview window, you can see how it works. You can also set the transition duration, photo show duration.

Fourth, choose a theme and add background music

Please go to the “Theme” interface. There will be basic and advanced templates. You can select your favorite template and add background music.

Fifth, publish

The final step is “publish”. There are three output options under the publish window. If you want to enjoy flash in your computer or upload to your own website, you can select “Create Flash File Only”. If you want to make a Gift/Presentation CD/DVD, select the second option and set CD/DVD recorder, recording speed and label etc, then click “Start Burn” to create a Gift CD/DVD. The third option is for you to upload your photo slideshow to Go2Album and share your joy with your friends and even more people.
